1/2 oz American Eagle Gold Coin

Thanks to its guaranteed gold content and beloved design, in all the world, this is one of the most widely recognized bullion coins. It is eligible for precious metals IRAs and contains a half ounce of gold.

Printed at West Point, New York, this coin, on its reverse side, shows a male eagle flying over its nest containing hatchlings and a female eagle. There is an olive branch in the male eagle’s claws. This is a Miley Busiek design. (In 2021, a new reverse side will be introduced.)

The obverse side of this coin features a walking Lady Liberty with the rays of the sun in the background. (This design is adapted from the famed Gold Double Eagle design by Augustus Saint-Gaudens.)
