1/4 oz American Gold Eagle Coin

This coin helps the United States mint to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the popular gold bullion series. It contains ¼ Troy oz. of gold.

Printed at West Point, New York, this coin, on its reverse side, shows a male eagle flying over its nest containing hatchlings and a female Eagle. There is an olive branch in the male eagle’s claws. This is a Miley Busiek design. (In 2021, a new reverse side will be introduced.)

The obverse side of this coin features a walking Lady Liberty with the rays of the sun in the background. (This design is adapted from the famed Gold Double Eagle design by Augustus Saint-Gaudens.)
