1/2 oz Chinese Panda Gold Coin

With its masterful craftsmanship and beautiful artwork, the Chinese Panda coin has captivated buillon collectors since its 1982 release by the People's Republic of China. This particularly striking coin is crafted from ½ oz .999 pure gold. This acclaimed series is now in its 39th year of production (counting 2021).

Struck at the Chinese Mint, the reverse side of this coin shows the classic image of the Temple of Heaven.

On the obverse side of this coin, the new panda design is displayed. This side of the coin’s specific design changes annually – with each new series release (excluding 2001 and 2002 which used the same design). Some designs have included close images of the panda's face, the mother panda holding its cub, the panda eating bamboo, and more.

Fully backed by the People's Bank of China, the face value of this coin is 200 Yuan.
