The third and final $10 Gold Eagle Coin produced by the United States Mint in 1908, enjoyed a 25-year mintage. This is an investment-grade piece with the fineness of .900 and a weight of 0.4838 Troy oz. This particular coin is in Mint State 63 (MS 63) condition.
For both sides of this coin, the designer was Saint Gaudens. Here, however, he has chosen to change up his traditional designs a bit. On the reverse side of this coin, the traditional Heraldic Eagle emblem has been revised to a more dignified, reserved bald eagle. On top of a set of arrows and an olive branch, it perches carefully. The obverse side of this coin features Lady Liberty in a traditional Native American war bonnet.
