This 2020, 1-ounce Platinum Maples coin is made from .9995 fine, pure platinum. It displays the Canadian Sugar Maple Leaf in all its splendor on one side. Walter Ott created this design back in 1979 for the Canadian Gold Maple Leaf coin. Over the last four decades it has remained unchanged.

Queen Elizabeth ll herself is on the flip side of this coin. It is the fourth-generation effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt. This design features, with no crown showcased on her head, the Queen in right profile relief.

Fully backed by the Canadian government, this coin has a face value of $50 (CAD).
